Product Description

The Maltese Microfiber General Purpose Towel was engineered in the fire service and built for anyone who demands premium cleaning performance. Developed to meet the daily challenges of today's firehouse, it combines durability, versatility, and surface protection in one professional-grade towel. From apparatus compartments and diamond plate to tools, equipment, interior surfaces, and station maintenance, it's designed to be the everyday workhorse of the Maltese Microfiber System.

Constructed from premium terry microfiber with a durable overlock edge, it delivers exceptional cleaning performance while remaining safe on painted, ceramic-coated, wrapped, chrome, glass, stainless steel, aluminum, plastic, rubber, vinyl, leather, and other finished surfaces.

While its roots are in the fire service, the General Purpose Towel is equally at home in the garage, driveway, detailing shop, RV, boat, or around the house. Whether you're maintaining a fire apparatus, personal vehicle, motorcycle, fleet vehicle, or everyday household surfaces, this towel is built to tackle the job with professional results.

Perfect for use with spray waxes, waterless wash products, quick detailers, ceramic and graphene spray coatings, glass cleaners, interior detail sprays, leather conditioners, and rubber, vinyl, and plastic protectants, it's an ideal towel for cleaning, buffing, polishing, and final wipe-downs while helping preserve today's advanced finishes.

Care & Maintenance

Protect your investment and maximize the performance and lifespan of your Maltese Microfiber towel by following these care and maintenance guidelines.

Before First Use

Important: Wash your towel separately before first use. Some color transfer during the first 3–5 wash cycles is normal and expected. Washing separately during this break-in period helps prevent color transfer to other fabrics.

Washing Instructions

  • Machine wash in warm water only.
  • Wash microfiber products together whenever possible.
  • Avoid washing with lint-producing fabrics such as cotton towels.

Do Not Use

  • Do not use bleach.
  • Do not use fabric softeners.

Both can damage the microfiber fibers, reduce absorbency, and decrease cleaning performance.

Drying Instructions

  • Tumble dry on low heat only.
  • Avoid high heat, which can damage microfiber fibers.
  • Air drying is also acceptable.

Performance & Longevity

  • If a towel snags, carefully trim the loose fiber—do not pull it.
  • Use each towel only for its intended application to prevent cross-contamination and maximize its service life.

Firehouse Care Recommendations

  • Wash lightly soiled towels separately from heavily soiled towels whenever possible.
  • Pre-soak heavily soiled towels before washing for best results.
  • Standard residential and commercial washing machines and dryers are recommended.
